To ensure that the HIFAR
impetus is maintained, we organised a seminar that, we believe, encapsulated the majority of our aims.
We invited guest speakers
from a variety of spheres to explain their work and how they could assist us to achieve our goals.
Our speakers discussed
individual house design, sympathetic community planning, renewable energy
production and use (both for individual homes and the larger community)
and illustrated the importance of community involvement.
The running order was:

Other
subjects need to be addressed, but we were restricted to one afternoon
for this initial event and we felt that there was
sufficient food for thought to be going along with.
